About Us

The Bay Area Climbers Coalition is a volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on preserving access to our local outdoor areas by actively fostering positive relationships with land managers, hosting stewardship events, and providing educational programming for the climbing community.

Our main event is regular Adopt-A-Crags, where we bring 30-50 volunteers out to a crag for a day to complete a large scope of work.  Depending on what the land manager and local community agree what needs to be done, this may include trail restoration, trail building, graffiti removal, glass and trash cleanup, and replacing old bolts with new ones.  In addition, we are always working on educating the community on how to be a good steward, helping out at various climbing events, and looking for new areas to protect and restore!
