Upcoming: Mt Diablo Adopt-A-Crag

About this event

The Bay Area Climbers Coalition and the Yosemite Climbing Association in conjunction with Save Mount Diablo and Mt Diablo State Park are proud to present the 2022 Mt Diablo Adopt-a-crag. During this event we’ll be focusing on trail restoration and fire hazard reduction in an area filled with listed endemic species for the beautiful Mt Diablo State Park. Come out and help steward this beautiful park with us!

Entry Fee will be waived at the entrance kiosk by mentioning that you are a volunteer for the event.

What: Help us clean up trails and reduce fire hazards in Mount Diablo State Park.

Where: Curry Point Staging Area

When: September 17th, 9 AM – 12 PM

What to bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Closed toe shoes (people wearing sandals will not be allowed to work)
  • Long pants
  • Long sleeved shirt
  • Personal snacks
  • (Optional) Gloves. We will provide gloves but people are encouraged to bring their own work gloves

FAQ:

Are there bathrooms on site? Yes, the nearest bathrooms are at Rock City.

Do I need to bring my own tools? No. We will provide the tools, but you are encouraged to bring your own gloves and eye protection.

Will there be climbing afterwards? Climbing is not a part of the event, but I’m pretty sure you can find someone at the event who wants to climb 😉
