Where is Indian Rock Park?
Indian and Mortar Rock climbing areas are located in the hills of Berkeley, just east of the downtown Solano Avenue. Please plan to meet at 11am at the park, near the “Indian Rock Park” sign near the top of the stairs, on Indian Park Avenue. We will have a table with a sign-in sheet and waivers.
Logistics
Safety – We are HUGE on safety! There will be a safety talk at 10am on the day of the event. Please note that we require all participants to be present for the safety talk and wear closed toe shoes. Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone to participate who does not attend the safety talk and wear closed toe shoes.
Food – Please bring your own food, water and snacks.
Water – Please bring your own water and water bottles.
Tools – We will be getting tools and gloves from the Berkeley Parks Dept, but feel free to bring your own work gloves if you prefer.
Bathrooms – A portable restroom will be provided on-site by the Berkeley parks department.
Clothing – Sturdy, closed toe shoes are mandatory. It can be quite sunny, so a hat and sunscreen are highly recommended.
