Upcoming: Remillard Adopt-A-Crag, April 8, 2018

Join the Bay Area Climbers Coalition to take on volunteer stewardship projects at Remillard Park in the Berkeley Hills!

Volunteers will be working on the following projects:
-Glass and trash clean-up
-Clearing of paths and walkways
-Adding wood chips to the belay area and surrounding areas
-Graffiti and poison oak removal

Date: April 8, 2018
Time: 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
Location: Remillard Park is located in the Berkeley Hills. The Mountain Project page provides an overview and directions. Carpooling is a great option since parking is limited. Please be respectful of neighbors’ driveways.

Logistics

Safety – We are HUGE on safety! There will be a safety talk at 10am on the day of the event. Please note that we require all participants to be present for the safety talk and wear closed toe shoes. Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone to participate that does not wear closed toe shoes and/or attend the safety talk.
Food – Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions and we will try to accommodate.
Water – There are NO drinking fountains available at Remillard – please be sure to bring a water bottle.
Tools – We will be borrowing tools and gloves from the City of Berkeley Parks Department.
Bathrooms – There are no bathrooms at Remillard; please plan accordingly.
Clothing – Sturdy, closed toe shoes are mandatory. A jacket is recommended.
