The City of Berkeley Health Officer has ordered residents to shelter in place through April 7, leaving only to receive or provide essential services, which does not include climbing. Climbing and bouldering areas are closed. All recreation facilities are closed, including sports fields, play structures, basketball courts, tennis courts, and volleyball courts. Open space in large parks remains open for community members to enjoy alone. Stay 6 feet away from other people when you are out please. Stay home, stay safe, and train. Look to your local gyms for virtual classes and tips on how to keep training.
Hi Bay Area climbers, We hope this post finds you well. We're writing to share that BACC and our partners are cancelling all upcoming events in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We'll do our best to reschedule as soon as we are confident we are able to host an event that is safe and fun for all participants. We are grateful for our energetic community of volunteers and appreciate your understanding during this time. Lastly, even if you're young and feeling healthy, now is not the time to go on a climbing trip. Please be conscious of your impact and the stealth spread of this virus, and please respect the gateway communities and our crags in the Bay Area and beyond by staying home. Thank you and be well.

COVID-19 Updates

BACC and our partners are cancelling all upcoming events in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are maintaining a list of local areas closed to climbing and encourage everyone to help flatten the curve by staying at home and emptying the crags.
